Karsten Jänicke tapped as chair of management board

German manufacturer of PVC films and sheets, Renolit (Worms; www.renolit.com) has announced that as of 1 January 2025, Karsten Jänicke will take over as CEO. The company’s current CEO, Michael Kundel, has been at the helm for 16 years, but is to move to the supervisory board in May 2025.

In addition to his role as CEO, Jänicke will manage the Exterior Solutions, Roof & Water Care, and Pool business units, as well as the group divisions, finance & administration, HR, communications, and corporate development. Jänicke, who has been with Renolit for 16 years, has been a member of the management board since 2019, where he is currently responsible for the Interior Surfaces, Roof & Water Care, and Pool segments.

Torsten Maschke is to take over the areas of responsibility that will become vacant with Kundel’s move. He would then be responsible for the Interior Surfaces and Composites segments. Other Renolit board members include Thomas Sampers, head of Healthcare, and Sven Behrendt, who heads the Protect and Visual Communication units.
