French branch gets new managing director

German distributor Albis (Hamburg; www.albis.com) has appointed Jérôme Lafont as the new managing director of its branch in France, with effect from 1 July 2024. He succeeds Laurent Beaurepaire, who will continue to act as managing director of Albis Morocco and thus drive forward the expansion of the North African business.
Lafont started 2020 as sales director France at the Hamburg-based distributor. He has industry experience in senior sales and marketing positions at chemical distributor Brenntag and industrial minerals and fillers specialist Omya, among others.
Albis employs around 500 at 25 locations worldwide. At the beginning of the year, the distributor established a sales office in Vietnam, thereby strengthening its presence in South East Asia.
