The last K trade show, held in October 2022, saw approximately 176,000 visitors, 20% down on numbers attending the previous event in 2019. Messe Düsseldorf blamed “ongoing uncertainty about the pandemic and the absence of most visitors from China” as reasons for the decline.
With the deadline for registrations now passed, Messe Düsseldorf said, “All renowned companies in the international plastics and rubber industry will take part in this, their leading trade fair, held in October next year. Demand for stand space is high and all 18 halls of Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre and the outdoor premises will be fully occupied again.”

K 2025 will run next year from 8 to 15 October, attracting more than 3,000 exhibitors from countries including Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, the US, China, India, and Taiwan, according to Messe Düsseldorf, with all 18 exhibitor halls across the complex expected to fill up.
The theme for next year’s K show is “The Power of Plastics! Green – Smart – Responsible.” The focus on people will encompass “corporate social responsibility just as much as future career perspectives for young professionals in the plastics and rubber sectors”, Messe Düsseldorf said.
Erhard Wienkamp, Messe Düsseldorf’s managing director, added, “K 2025 will provide the complete overview of a plastics industry undergoing transformation and again have a plethora of impressive innovations in store.
“We know that many of our exhibitors are already preparing their product innovations and presentations at full speed. Düsseldorf will once again provide forward-looking impetus for the entire plastics and rubber industry.”
