RecyClass turns its attention to E&E, automotive

After having implemented updated Design for Recycling guidelines for the plastic packaging sector at the end of January this year, plastics recycling auditing scheme RecyClass (Brussels; www.recyclass.eu) said it is now extending its scope to plastic components used in E&E and automotive applications.

It said it plans to use the experience gained in its endeavours in plastic packaging recovery to drive innovation and circularity in these sectors, focusing on plastic components made with polystyrene, ABS, polypropylene, and polyethylene, among others.

In anticipation of upcoming EU regulations, the initiative is calling for active participation from stakeholders along the entire E&E and automotive value chain.
