The deal to buy the Czech firm follows recent acquisitions of Hungarian flexible packaging maker Plasztik-Tranzit, now Coveris Pirtó, and Polish packaging manufacturer DK Lamin.
S&K is the first label business Coveris has bought outside the UK. It said S&K “provides an ideal strategic fit with [our] labels business to create a pan-European business platform”.
Christian Kolarik, Coveris’ chief executive, added, “The acquisition of S&K Label is an excellent opportunity for us to secure locally produced, high-quality labels for our customers … [and] will also enable us to further strengthen our position in mainland Europe.”
