Partners announce inauguration of compounding plant in Morocco
Belgian plastics distributor and compounder Ravago (Arendonk; www.ravago.com) and Spanish petrochemical group Repsol (Madrid; www.repsol.com/en) said they have officially inaugurated the 18,500 t/y compounding plant in Tangier, Morocco, announced in 2022.

Production at the new facility in the port city will focus mainly on polypropylene compounds, but the companies noted that the portfolio will include engineering compounds based on polyamide, PBT, and polycarbonate/ABS blends.
The partners added that, if required, capacity at the plant can be increased in the future.

According to the companies, the aim is to meet local demand, in particular OEMs Renault and Stellantis, which operate plants in the Moroccan cities Tangier, Kenitra, and Casablanca.
