The recoSTAR PET 215 iV+ recycling line processes post-consumer PET bottle flakes and according to Starlinger has a production output of 2.4 t per hour, which comes to around 6,500 t/y. The unit is equipped with a special filter that reduces production waste, increases output, and ensures highly purified melt.
Tanrıkulu supplies the bottle-grade rPET pellets to customers in Turkey and abroad, the company said.
The Turkish recycler already operates a Starlinger recoSTAR dynamic recycling system for HDPE and polypropylene.
Besides producing recyclate from plastics scrap, the Tanrıkulu group also owns a facility for PET sheet production in Çayırova in the Kocaeli province. It recycles a total of 40,000 t of post-consumer PET and 45,000 t/y of other plastics such as PP, HDPE, and LDPE.
Tanrıkulu has ten plastics recycling and manufacturing plants in Kocaeli near Istanbul.
