UK polymer supplier to spend millions to upgrade headquarters plant
UK resin maker Scott Bader (Wollaston; www.scottbader.com) said it will invest around GBP 30 mn (EUR 35 mn) for the refurbishment and modernisation of its main factory in Wollaston.

The five-year programme to boost production flexibility and the development of further sustainable products is to start this year with an initial tranche of GBP 8 mn, according to the supplier, which also plans to increase its commitment to 3D printing materials.
At the same time, CEO Kevin Matthews confirmed that construction of a third US factory in Mocksville, North Carolina, is almost complete. The GBP 16 mn production facility is expected to begin operations later this year. Additionally, a new laboratory in Amiens, France, is to open in Q1 2024.
