French plastics processing umbrella organisation Polyvia (Levallois-Perret; www.polyvia.fr) has a new president. At its meeting on 12 December 2023, the board of directors elected Pierre-Jean Leduc to the position. He succeeds Emmanuelle Perdrix, who has been at the helm of the association since Polyvia was founded in December 2020 to combine the Fédération de la Plasturgie et des Composites and other national plastics processing and composites organisations.
Leduc was previously vice-president of Polyvia. The 59-year-old comes from French plastics processor Demgy (Saint-Aubin-sur-Gaillon; www.demgy.com) – formerly Dedienne Multiplasturgy – which he heads as managing partner. In October 2023, his company took over E.I.S. Aircraft (Euskirchen, Germany; www.eis-group.de) after it was rescued from insolvency by a Swiss investor in June 2021. Demgy generated sales of EUR 74 mn in 2022 with 660 employees, while E.I.S. – now known as Demgy EIS – generated sales of EUR 22 mn with 130 employees.
Polyvia brings together around 3,500 mostly small and medium-sized enterprises with a combined workforce of 122,000.
