Swedish elastomer specialist opens first plant in Vietnam

The Trelleborg Industrial Group (Trelleborg, Sweden; www.trelleborg.com) has announced the opening of its first plant in Vietnam for the production of O-rings and customised elastomer injection-moulded parts. The 8,000 m² site in Long Thanh is to supply the automotive and industrial sectors mainly in Vietnam and other countries in the Far East, but also the markets in Europe and North America, said Gordon Micallef, head of the Trelleborg Sealing Solutions business unit.
In Vietnam, Trelleborg currently has a service office in Ho Chi Minh City.
