Association chief Stefan Barot quits unexpectedly
Stefan Barot, managing director at German resin maker Biotec, has resigned as chairman of the European Bioplastics Association (EUBP, Berlin; www.european-bioplastics.org) with immediate effect. The group said his surprise departure was due to “personal and professional reasons”.

Until a successor is appointed, his deputies Mariagiovanna Vetere (NatureWorks) and Lars Börger (Neste) are to serve as interim co-chairs of the association.

Barot first took charge of the industry group last summer.
