Compounding line for PC products starts up in Israel
Israeli materials specialist Tosaf (Afula; www.tosaf.com) has commissioned a new compounding line for PC products at its Alon-Tavor site in Israel. The company said the new line strengthens its commitment to PC additives, and increases its flexibility to meet customer requirements. Gabi Bar, PC product manager, said, “Our new facility in Alon-Tavor will increase our flexibility in supplying our broad portfolio of PC products and further reduce lead times.”

Tosaf said it produces its entire portfolio of PC compounds for global demand at its Alon-Tavor additives factory. The company’s portfolio of compounds and masterbatches for PC includes flame retardants, glass fibres, and a wide range of colour masterbatches. New developments include light diffuser masterbatches for PC, as well as for PMMA, with a high loading level, enabling low dosing quantities. Other innovations include heat blockers for the near IR range (NIR blockers) and additives for creating matt surfaces with either a fine or rough structure, the company added.
