Distribution agreement with Dow Polyurethanes to cover Central and Eastern Europe
French speciality chemicals distributor Safic-Alcan (Paris; www.safic-alcan.com) announced a significant expansion of its collaboration to distribute Dow Chemical’s (Midland, Michigan, USA; www.dow.com) polyurethane range across Central and Eastern Europe.

The extended partnership with the polyurethanes business unit of Dow encompasses territories that include the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, and Montenegro. The agreement covers trademarks such as Hyperlast, Duramould, Diprane, Voramer, Tedistac, Isostac, and Specfil.
These brands cover polyurethane applications that cater to a diverse spectrum of industries such as oil, water, and gas transmission and storage, engineering resins, as well as adhesives, sealants, and binders.

Kamil Antos, business development director for Polyurethanes at Safic-Alcan, said, “Dow’s leading high-performance engineering elastomers and industrial systems will seamlessly complement our product portfolio, offering innovative technologies that enable us to tap into new markets across a variety of industries.”
Antos noted that the deal follows the company’s entry into the Spanish and Portuguese markets earlier in 2023, further amplifying its ongoing partnership in France, Italy, the UK, the Nordics, and the Benelux region.
