Without disclosing the purchase price, polyurethane systems specialist Coim (Buccinasco, Italy; www.coimgroup.com) has acquired the remaining shares in Spanish processor Neoflex (Elche; www.neoflex.es). The Italian company had already held a majority stake in the company since 2021, the extent of which was to be kept confidential.
According to Coim CEO Giuseppe Librandi, the full acquisition of Neoflex is the “first phase of a growth plan with important investments” for the coming years. Neoflex mainly produces single- and multi-component PU adhesives for the furniture, construction, textile, and automotive industries based on Coim systems.
In 2022, Coim generated sales of EUR 1 bn with 1,200 employees, distributed among the segments, polyester resins, polyols, and PU-based coatings, adhesives and sealants, and elastomers.
