Ownership of Italian additives maker changes hands
Italian additives producer Ultrabatch (Castano Primo; www.ultrabatch.it) has a new majority owner, with investment company Koinos Capital (Milan; https://koinoscapital.com) acquiring a majority stake in the company. The sellers were Ultrabatch founders Pietro Csergo and Andrea Moretti. Managing director Diego Moretti, son of one of the founders, remains active in the company. Financial details were not disclosed.

Ultrabatch produces anti-block additives, antioxidants, anti-statics, antifog masterbatches, absorbers, UV stabilisers, lubricants, drying agents, and other process aids for the plastics industry. In 2022, the company reported sales of over EUR 30 mn.
Koinos Capital, focused on investments in medium-sized Italian companies, was founded in 2020. Since then, the company has acquired stakes in sole manufacturer Tre Zeta, toolmaker Stil Stampi, e-scooter producer Platum and grinding machine specialist Rosa Ermando.
