Italian flexible packaging maker buys majority stake in Mega Embalagens – reports
According to media reports, Goglio (Milan; www.goglio.it) has acquired a majority stake in Brazilian flexible packaging manufacturer Mega Embalagens (Salvador do Sul; www.megaembalagens.com.br). Financial details were not disclosed.
The remaining 49% of the company, which recently reported a turnover of EUR 50 mn with around 400 employees, is said to be still held by the owner families of Wallauer and Gräf.

Mega Embalagens produces flexible packaging for food, hygiene products, and pet food. According to reports, the production facilities in Salvador do Sul are to be modernised to increase Goglio’s market share in South America in the medium term. Details of the expansion plans were not disclosed.
The Italian specialist for coffee packaging recently expanded its production facility in China. The company operates further production plants in Italy, the Netherlands, and the US.
