Canadian label firm buys Spanish IML specialist Creaprint
CCL Industries (Toronto, Ontario; www.cclind.com) said it has acquired Spanish label manufacturer Creaprint (Alicante; www.creaprintiml.com) for an undisclosed sum.
Previously owned by the founding Guillem family, the manufacturer of in-mould labelling (IML) products reportedly achieved turnover of EUR 17 mn in 2022.
Creaprint has a domestic production facility in Alicante and a US sales office in Miami, Florida, and is set to operate under the CCL Label Spain name in the future.

In June 2023, the Canadian label manufacturer strengthened its position in the pouch sector with the acquisition of Pouch Partners (Baar, Switzerland), which belonged to of the holding company Capri Sun Group (Zug, Switzerland; www.capri-sun.com).
CCL Industries operates 205 factories and sales offices worldwide with over 25,000 employees. The company claims to be the world’s largest manufacturer of pressure-sensitive plastic films for labelling and packaging. It also produces cans, bottles, tubes, films for banknotes and its label portfolio. The group recently announced turnover of CAD 6.38 bn (EUR 4.4 bn).
