At the 35th edition of Chinaplas (Shenzhen; www.chinaplasonline.com), nearly a quarter of a million visitors, more than 248,000, were recorded over the four days of exhibition on 17-20 April 2023, reported organiser Adsale (Hong Kong; www.adsale.com.hk), who also put the number of exhibitors at 3,900.
For comparison, according to official figures, China’s largest fair welcomed more than 152,000 guests in April 2021, which was Chinaplas’ first in-person event since the outbreak of the pandemic. The number of exhibitors at the time reported at 3,600.
The fair, held this year under the motto, “Green, Smart, Advance”, still has room for improvement in terms of internationality. According to the organiser, just over 11% of visitors this year came from overseas. Among them, about every ninth was from Europe.
