At the Sines site on Portugal’s west coast, Repsol (Madrid; www.repsol.com) has started work on the expansion announced in mid-2021. Two new lines for LLDPE and polypropylene with a combined output of 600,000 t/y are being built, according to the Spanish petrochemical group. The company said the expansion will add another 38 hectares to the 143-hectare site.
