BIEGLO
Additives, fibres for high-temperature materials / Subsidiary in US
German distributor Bieglo (Hamburg; www.bieglo.com) has built up its portfolio of additives and fibres for refining high-temperature materials, which managing director John Biesterfeld discussed with Plasteurope.com at the K 2022 fair in Düsseldorf, Germany (www.k-online.de).

The company offers additives to increase temperature resistance and improve tribological properties as well as glass fibres from Advanced Glassfiber Yarns (AGY, Aiken, South Carolina, USA; www.agy.com) and polyimide fibres that Bieglo sells under its own Dexnyl brand name.

Bieglo’s portfolio includes PEEK, PEEK recyclate, thermoplastic and thermoset polyimides, PAI, PBI and PEI, both in granular form and as semi-finished products. The company also supplies prefabricated parts through partner companies.

Last year, the Bieglo group founded BAR Plast, a US subsidiary based in Houston, Texas. The group further includes the distribution company ASP Plastics (Hamburg; www.asp-plastics.com), which focuses on the distribution of Spartech brand thermoforming sheets (ABS, PET, PMMA, PVC, ABS/PVC).
