Spanish energy and petrochemicals giant Repsol (Madrid; www.repsol.com) said it has selected compatriot distributor Quimidroga (Barcelona; www.quimidroga.com) to supply its PP compounds in Morocco, including its Reciclex range with up to 80% reclaimed material, which will also be manufactured in the country.
Quimidroga Maroc, the company’s Moroccan distribution service in Casablanca, plans to deploy a local sales team and invest in equipment and local logistics facilities as Repsol’s exclusive distributor. Moroccan production of Reciclex will serve the automotive, household appliance, and garden furniture sectors, Repsol said.
The announcements followed Repsol’s decision to build a PP compound production plant in the North African country, which is to begin operations in mid-2023 (see Plasteurope.com of 14.03.2022).
