World’s leading plastics trade fair, K 2022 (www.k-online.com), set to take place in Düsseldorf, Germany, from 19-26 October, this year is to feature the special show “Plastics shape the future” in Hall 6.
The focus of the special show, being organised by Messe Düsseldorf (Düsseldorf, Germany; www.messe-duesseldorf.com), with the support of Plastics Europe Deutschland, will be on climate protection, circular economy, and digitalisation.
Ingemar Bühler, managing director of Plastics Europe Deutschland, said, “These are really exciting times: in this year’s K special show, we make it clear where our industry shifts into the turbo mode in terms of greenhouse gas neutrality and circularity. But we also listen carefully to what critical experts tell us.”
On 19 October, the first day of the show, key topics and challenges of the industry are to be addressed directly at the K-Forum. It will, for instance, focus on the implementation of results of the Reshaping Plastics report presented by European thinktank SystemIQ in April this year. The report outlines several scenarios that are supposed to improve the circularity of plastics and reduce the greenhouse gas emissions in Europe.
