Italian extrusion specialist invests in second line

Plastics processor Plastisavio (Mercato Saraceno, Italy; www.plastisavio.it) is expanding its capacity with another line for making polystyrene panels from recycled post-consumer waste. The line is scheduled to go into operation before the end of this year, and processing capacity was quoted at around 10,000 t/y.
Details on the level of investment or total production capacity at Plastisavio were not disclosed. The manufacturer of the extrusion line is Italian machine maker Union Officine Meccaniche (S. Vittore Olona; www.unionextrusion.it).
