The German plastics processing industry group Gesamtverband Kunststoffverarbeitende Industrie (GKV, Berlin; www.gkv.de) has a new president. The delegates of the four GKV member associations unanimously elected Helen Fürst to succeed Roland Roth for a two-year term.
Fürst is managing partner of Germany’s Fürst Group (Erlangen; www.fuerstgroup.eu), a family-owned company that manufactures plastic cans and buckets for food contact.

At its delegates’ meeting in Berlin at the end of June 2022, the GKV failed to elect new leadership for the association because no one applied to be a candidate for this honorary office. In addition, the association meeting was overshadowed by the expulsion of the domestic technical parts manufacturing group TecPart (Frankfurt; www.tecpart.de – see Plasteurope.com of 24.06.2022).
