Profile manufacturer Primo (Copenhagen, Denmark; www.primo.com) has bought the Källered extrusion plant near Gothenburg from Talent Plastics (Bredaryd, Sweden; www.talentplastics.se). At the site in western Sweden, 22 employees manufacture cable solutions for the offshore industry and other plastic profiles on 18 production lines, according to Primo. The operating company, Talent Plastics Göteborg, which generated sales of SEK 46 mn (EUR 4.3 mn) last year, will trade as Primo Göteborg in future. The buyer did not give any details on the selling price.
Talent Plastics, a part of the Ahlmark group since 2010, has discontinued its extrusion business with the divestment. The company still operates five injection moulding plants in Sweden (Bredaryd, Gislaved and Laxå) and Estonia (Talinn and Tartumaa).
The Danish Primo, owned by the Grunnet family since its foundation in 1959, has sales and production activities at 12 locations in Europe and Asia.
