The European PVC Window Profiles and Related Building Products Association (EPPA, Brussels; www.eppa-profiles.eu) has a new leader after the general assembly in Karlsruhe, Germany elected Carsten Heuer chairman of the board. The wholesale and foreign trade specialist works at German plastics group Rehau (Rehau; www.rehau.com), where he has been CEO of the window division since 2017.
In his new post, the 55-year old succeeds Patrick Seitz (from Aluplast); Heuer was previously his deputy.
The new chairman described one of his most urgent tasks as “further expanding the association’s role as a solution provider in the EU, especially in the context of the Green Deal.” However, he did not comment on the tense situation on the PVC market and the high number of force majeure notifications.
In addition, Alexander Franke (Profine) was elected as Heuer’s deputy.
