The plans of Chinaplas’ organisers for an in-person event this year have again been foiled by coronavirus. The bustling city of Shanghai, which has been in lockdown for over three weeks, will be unable to host Chinaplas 2022, previously scheduled for 25-28 April.
The organiser of the event, Adsale (Hong Kong, China; www.adsale.com.hk) has released an apology, stating that the 35th edition of the event has been “postponed” to 17-20 April 2023, and that the show venue will be changed – from the National Exhibition and Convention Centre in Shanghai – to Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Centre in Shenzhen.
However, the trade fair’s virtual show this year, titled Innovative Plastics and Rubber Technology Connects the World, is scheduled to take place as per normal, from 25 May to 14 June 2022 at www.ChinaplasOnline.com.
Adsale had in March already declared the “indefinite postponement” of the event this year (see Plasteurope.com of 22.03.2022).
