Mayer appointed VP of polyolefins, innovation

Polyolefin producer Borealis (Vienna, Austria; www.borealisgroup.com) has announced the appointment of Mirjam Mayer as vice-president of polyolefins transformation, which covers the business portfolio of polyolefins, innovation and technology, and circular economy solutions.

Mayer has worked at Borealis since June 2020 as a director for strategy and the growth portfolio. Prior to Borealis, she spent several years as consultant at McKinsey, where she was based in Germany, India, the US, and Austria.
She holds a post-doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a PhD in biochemistry and biophysics from the Max Planck Research School and University of Technology in Dresden, Germany.
