The almost EUR 2.15 bn acquisition of Kraton (Houston, Texas, USA; www.kraton.com) by DL Chemical (Seoul, South Korea; www.dlenc.co.kr) has been completed as planned (see Plasteurope.com of 06.10.2021). The US manufacturer of speciality polymers now operates as a subsidiary of the South Korean company, and together with its parent intends to play a leading role in speciality chemicals worldwide in the future.
The company is led by Marcello Boldrini and Holger Jung as co-CEOs. Both are to retain earlier roles, with Boldrini leading chemicals operations and Jung in charge of polymers.
