PE film manufacturer buys UK-based stretch film producer

Swedish polyethylene film producer Trioworld (Smålandsstenar; www.trioworld.com) has bought UK stretch film manufacturer Eurofilms Extrusion (Telford; www.eurofilms.com) for an undisclosed sum.
Private equity-owned Trioworld acquired the company from its private owners. Employing around 100 staff and reporting turnover of GBP 25.4 mn (EUR 30.3 mn) in 2020, Eurofilms began making stretch film in 1995 and supplies customers in the food, beverage, and industrial packaging sector.
Speaking about the deal, Trioworld group CEO Andreas Malmberg said, “I’m very happy that our two companies can now join forces in developing the best circular offering in the market for recycled plastics. The Eurofilms superior commitment to service and support in the UK and West European markets gives a fantastic platform for enhanced growth.”
