As part of its portfolio streamlining and strategic focus on high-margin growth markets, Wienerberger (Vienna; www.wienerberger.com) plans to sell its plastic pipe business in France to Tessenderlo (Brussels; www.tessenderlo.com).
Talks are ongoing, according to announcements from both firms.
Wienerberger’s French plastic pipe business includes a production plant in Gaillon. The plant and its 75 employees is to be integrated into the Tessenderlo subsidiary Dyka (www.dyka.com), which in 2020 acquired a pipe plant in La Chapelle-Saint-Ursin, France from Germany’s Rehau (Rehau; www.rehau.com; – see Plasteurope.com of 15.01.2020).
