After the cancellation of leading composites trade fair “JEC World” in Paris last year, organiser JEC Group (Paris; www.jeccomposites.com) has moved this year’s fair from March to May 2022. Whether the two extra months will be enough remains to be seen. The original dates for the meeting of industry representatives in the northern part of the French capital were 8 - 10 March.
After “thorough consultation with the exhibitors and partners of the event”, the new dates of 3 - 5 May 2022 have been finalised, according to the organiser. CEO Eric Pierrejean obviously hopes for – in terms of Covid-19 – safer conditions for exhibitors looking forward to seeing each other in person. In November of last year, before the emergence of the Omicron variant, the JEC Group celebrated the premiere of “JEC DACH” in Frankfurt, Germany (see Plasteurope.com of 03.12.2021).
As a result of the postponement of JEC World, the 16th “World Pultrusion Conference” (WPC) – originally planned for 3 - 4 March 2022 – has also been postponed to 5 - 6 May 2022, and will now be held in Paris, too.
Organised by the European Pultrusion Technology Association (EPTA, Frankfurt; www.pultruders.com), in cooperation with the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA, Arlington, Virginia; www.acmanet.org), the event is expected to see 25 speakers from Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Netherlands, Turkey, UK and the US, with presentations on innovative applications, technologies, processes, current market trends, and developments.
