With the acquisition of Ravago’s US subsidiary Trinity Specialty Compounding (West Unity, Ohio), Benvic (Chevigny, France; www.benvic.com) is expanding its months-old presence in the American market.
Trinity specialises in flame-retardant, cross-linked, and speciality additive compounds used primarily for applications in the cable, construction, and household-appliance industries. Details on Trinity such as turnover, capacity, and the number of employees were not provided.
The French PVC compounder bought US competitor Chemres (Princeton, New Jersey; www.chemres.com) in August 2021 (see Plasteurope.com of 20.08.2021); it now acts as a US regional holding company and has been assigned to Trinity.
