STOCKMEIER
Distribution group buys New Química / Expansion of position in Spanish market
In a move farther west on the Iberian Peninsula, Germany’s Stockmeier (Bielefeld; www.stockmeier.de) has extended its presence in Spain with the takeover of local distributor New Química (Casarrubios del Monte; www.newquimica.es).

With the acquisition the German distribution group, which has branches in Barcelona and Valencia, adds a company located near Toledo that stores and sells organic and inorganic products, surfactants, resins, and speciality chemicals. New Química mainly supplies markets for polyester resins, cleaning agents, and water treatment.

Stockmeier has also expanded activities in the Benelux region: Belgian subsidiary Innochem (Meerhout; www.innochem.de) – purchased just over a year ago (see Plasteurope.com of 11.12.2020) – recently bought Dutch speciality chemical distributor XS Chemical (Utrecht; www.xs-chemicals.com – see Plasteurope.com of 13.01.2022). Financial details were not disclosed.

With more than 50 locations worldwide and some 1,800 employees, the Stockmeier group offers distribution, production, and services for a wide range of chemicals.
