ABRISO JIFFY
Protective packaging producer acquires competitor Novostrat
Belgian firm Abriso Jiffy (Anzegem; www.abrisojiffy.com) is expanding: the extruded polyethylene foam, bubble wrap and XPS sheet producer announced the takeover of Irish PE foam company Novostrat (Limerick; www.novostrat.com) for an undisclosed sum. Abriso Jiffy itself was acquired in mid-2021 by Quva, the investment vehicle of Belgian entrepreneur Pascal Vanhalst.

The Belgian packaging producer gains two plants with the Novostrat acquisition: the Irish firm’s headquarters in Limerick, constructed in 2001, and its Polish facility in Olszyna, built in 2008. This brings the total of Abriso Jiffy’s plants to 15, supplying 5,000 customers in 35 countries.
