Change at top management of film and packaging maker

Austrian film and packaging manufacturer Schur Flexibles (Wiener Neudorf; www.schurflexibles.com) has new top management, following the takeover of the majority shares by B&C Industrieholding (Vienna; www.bcgruppe.at – see Plasteurope.com of 08.10.2021). The new CEO – and successor to the previous head of the company, Michael Schernthaner – is Juan Luís Martínez Arteaga, who has been responsible for production and procurement at Schur since 2018 as the COO. Prior to that, the 47-year-old had held various professional positions at Constantia Flexibles and Saint-Gobain.
The position of CFO at Schur was also filled recently. Mathias Breuer (39), who until recently held the same position at the Semperit business unit, Sempermed, is now the CFO. Meanwhile, chief sales officer Marek Pawlak (53) was confirmed in the group management. Schur Flexibles has 23 production sites in Western and Eastern Europe. The workforce comprises about 2,200 employees, who most recently generated an annual turnover of about EUR 590m.
