After three years as president and CEO of Neste (Espoo / Finland; www.neste.com), Peter Vanacker is leaving the Finnish refiner. According to supervisory board chairman Matti Kähkönen, Vanacker will exit in June 2022 at the latest. The search for a successor has already begun.
The 55-year-old CEO has positioned Neste as a manufacturer of renewable refinery products and has forged numerous partnerships with big names from the plastics and recycling world, such as Covestro, Ravago and Remondis.
Previously, Vanacker worked for Bayer and held chief executive positions at former film manufacturer Treofan and Clariant’s fine chemicals spin-off CABB.
