Chemical Recycling Europe (ChemRecEurope, Brussels / Belgium; www.chemicalrecyclingeurope.eu) has announced that John Sewell is now secretary general of the association. He replaces Mohammad Hayatifar, who led the group for the last two-and-a-half years.

Sewell said, “Chemical recycling is an essential part of the solution moving forward, and the ongoing deployment of chemical recycling technologies is essential for Europe to reach the recycling targets set for 2025, 2030 and beyond. I am committed to doing my best to help the chemical recycling sector reach its full potential.”

The association was created in 2019 to promote chemical recycling technologies (see Plasteurope.com of 25.03.2019).
