Germany’s Polymer-Service PSG (Buchholz; www.polymer-service.de) has become the domestic sales partner for Italian compounder Taro Plast (Soragna; www.taroplast.com). With a capacity of around 75,000 t/y, Taro Plast produces compounds based on engineering thermoplastics such as polyamide 6 and 6.6, PBT, PET, polycarbonate and blends made of ABS, SAN, ASA and PPO. In addition, the company also makes polypropylene compounds with glass fibres, minerals, and flame-retardants at its headquarters plant.

PSG, founded in 1989, has been part of German rubber, plastics, and adhesive industries distributor Weber & Schaer (Hamburg; www.weber-schaer.com) since 2016. It sells, among other things, engineering plastics from South Korean resin makers LG Chem (Seoul; www.lgchem.com) and Samyang (Seoul; www.samyangcorp.com). Polymer-Service has also specialised in the sale of high-performance plastics such as PEEK, polysulfones and fluoropolymers, with the latter also as secondary material.
