US plastics group Trinseo (Berwyn, Pennsylvania; www.trinseo.com) has appointed Francesca Reverberi as senior vice-president and chief sustainability officer. In the newly created position, Reverberi is tasked with expanding the portfolio of sustainable materials and ensuring that the group achieves its sustainability goals by 2030.

Additionally, the chemical engineering graduate would be responsible for Trinseo’s Synthetic Rubber division until the sale of segment to Synthos is completed, which should happen around the end of 2021 or the start of 2022 (see Plasteurope.com of 27.05.2021).

Reverberi came to Trinseo with the spin-off from Dow (see Plasteurope.com of 21.06.2010), having headed the Basic Plastics division there for a time.
