Tove Andersen has taken the reins of Norway-based sorting technology specialist Tomra (Asker; www.tomra.com) before her ascent was originally expected (see Plasteurope.com of 02.06.2021). With effect from 16 August 2021, the 51-year-old was appointed president and CEO. Andersen replaces Stefan Ranstrand, who had helmed the company since 2009 and left in the summer.
Andersen was most recently executive vice-president for Europe at Norway’s Yara International (Oslo; www.yara.com), a global supplier of chemicals and agricultural products with sales of USD 12.9 bn (EUR 10.6 bn). Tomra reported sales of EUR 990m in 2020 and has some 4,300 employees worldwide.
