Michael Lüthi has been at the helm of Switzerland’s Sanitized group (Burgdorf; www.sanitized.com) since the beginning of August 2021, the additive maker reports. Part of the family that founded the company and a member of the management team for three years, the 38-year-old CEO succeeds Urs Stalder, who moves to the board of directors after 30 years with the company. Prior to taking charge of Sanitized, Lüthi was COO at Senevita, a senior housing firm.
The Swiss company’s products, with a focus on antimicrobial additives that are sold worldwide, are said to ensure enduring hygiene and material protection for plastic surfaces and odour-free textiles. They reportedly also prevent contamination of paint and varnish.
Stalder pushed ahead with the development of the “Sanitized” brand and, in the course of internationalisation, set up subsidiaries in the US and China. In the plastics industry, customers are said to include Franke Kitchen Systems, Airex, Polyrey, Spirella and Glamor Studio (LBD Maison).
