Launch of global “Valeras” brand for sustainable plastic additives / Closing the circularity loop
BASF (Ludwigshafen / Germany; www.basf.com) said it has introduced the global “Valeras” brand for sustainable solutions products within its plastic additives portfolio. The slate includes additives that it says “bring a significant sustainability value to plastic applications by improving durability, saving energy, reducing emissions, and promoting biodiversity.”
The group said the move combines its long-time experience, innovative solutions and regulatory support with an aim to increase the sustainability of plastics along the entire polymer value chain. Over the course of 2021, it plans to expand the portfolio to include additive packages for mechanically recycled plastics and their applications.
