The “Plastics Recycling Show Europe” (PRSE; www.prseventeurope.com) is to be held at Amsterdam’s RAI exhibition and convention centre on 4-5 November 2021. According to the organisers, Crain Communications (Detroit, Michigan / USA; www.crain.com) and industry association Plastics Recyclers Europe (PRE, Brussels / Belgium; www.plasticsrecyclers.eu), this year the event will move to the larger Hall 12 – which covers more than 8,000 m² – to accommodate hygiene requirements and the increased demand for exhibition and conference space.
PRE President Ton Emans said, “The fifth edition of the of the Plastics Recycling Show Europe will take place more than two years after our last in-person event in 2019.” For that year, organisers reported 120 exhibitors and around 3,250 visitors. The show traditionally features a cross-section of the industry, including suppliers of plastics recycling machinery and equipment, suppliers of plastics materials and compounds, plastics recyclers, waste-management specialists and industry associations.
Organisers say the more than 150 exhibitors for this year’s event include Erema (Ansfelden / Austria; www.erema.at), KraussMaffei (KM, Munich / Germany; www.kraussmaffei.com), Lindner-Recyclingtech (Spittal an der Drau / Austria; www.lindner.com), LyondellBasell (LYB, Houston, Texas / USA; www.lyondellbasell.com), NextChem (Rome / Italy; www.nextchem.it), Suez (Paris / France; www.suez.com) and Veolia (Paris; www.veolia.com).
The trade fair, where the winners of the “Plastics Recycling Awards Europe 2021” will be announced on 5 November, will be accompanied by a two-day conference, parts of which will be livestreamed. The sessions planned include “Making Plastics Fully Circular: What’s Next?”, “Closing the Circle with RecyClass”, focus sessions to examine the current status of polyolefin waste streams, and a session on polypropylene and polystyrene recycling.
