As of 1 July 2021, Dolder Plastics, the plastics branch of Dolder (Basel / Switzerland; www.dolder.com), and B. Bigler (Zug / Switzerland; www.biglerag.com) will join forces to form Dolder-Bigler (www.dolderbigler.com), based in Zug and Basel. From the legal point of view, all Bigler employees will be transferred to Dolder-Bigler. The new company is set to focus on the core segments of high-performance plastics, engineering polymers, standard plastics, elastomers, masterbatches and specialities. With the merger, the two Swiss distributors are expanding their product portfolio and customer base, said Hans-Jürgen Köster, CEO of the new company. Furthermore, the measure should also enable optimisation of the supply chain.

At Dolder, only the former plastics business unit will be affected by the merger. The remaining parts of the company will continue to operate in the Specialty Chemicals and Filtration & Purification divisions.
