Tove Andersen named CEO

Norwegian collection and sorting machinery company Tomra (Asker; www.tomra.com) has announced that Tove Andersen is to take on the role of CEO by 1 November 2021 at the latest. Andersen is to replace Stefan Ranstrand, who helmed company since 2009 and is now departing Tomra.
Born in 1970, Andersen was most recently executive vice-president for Europe at Yara International, a global supplier of agricultural products with sales of USD 12.9 bn (EUR 10.6 bn).
Tomra achieved turnover of EUR 990m in 2020 with around 4,300 employees worldwide. At the beginning of the year, the company, together with polyolefin producer Borealis (Vienna / Austria; www.borealisgroup.com) started operations at a pilot plant for mechanical recycling in Lahnstein / Germany (see Plasteurope.com of 22.01.2021).
