After several expansion steps in Western Europe, Ube Corporation Europe (UCE, Castellon / Spain; www.ube.es) – a subsidiary of the Japanese Ube Industries (Tokyo; www.ube.com) – says it has now established a branch office in Turkey. The office in Istanbul is its first of its kind in the region and is to prepare for entry into markets in the Middle East and introduce Ube products – mainly polyamides and fine chemicals – to the processors there.

Ube has in the recent past strengthened especially its compounding business, among other things, with the acquisition of the Spanish Repol (Almazora; www.repol.com – see Plasteurope.com of 12.04.2019).
