Malte Witt appointed vice-president for EMEA

Flexible insulation specialist Armacell (Luxembourg; www.armacell.com) has a new vice-president for the EMEA region, Malte Witt, who joined the company in 2008 as a marketing director, and has been the VP of the Asia-Pacific business since 2018. Witt succeeds Guillerme Huguen, who will take on the position of chief strategic development officer.
Witt, who will work out of the company’s headquarters in Luxembourg, said, “As a market and technology leader with strong brands, a qualified and committed team and innovative products, we will emerge from the coronavirus crisis and the difficult situation it has led to in many markets even stronger.”
With more than 3,000 employees and 23 production plants in 15 countries, Armacell’s net sales and adjusted EBITDA in 2019 were at an all-time high, with adjusted EBITDA margin at 20.7%, and net sales at almost EUR 645m. In 2020, the company generated net sales of EUR 591m and adjusted EBITDA of EUR 120m.
