The Flood Portal of the Federal States (Karlsruhe / Germany; www.hochwasserzentralen.de) has announced that the Rhine is navigable throughout Germany again, from the Swiss border through to the Lower Rhine. In Baden-Württemberg, Hessen, Rheinland-Pfalz and Nordrhein-Westfalen, the water levels of the Rhine had fallen sufficiently by noon on 12 February 2021 for the flood warning to be lifted, and continue to remain under safe levels on the morning of 15 February 2021.
Isolated reports of high water are still in force for the Moselle, the Saale and, in the federal state of Brandenburg, for the Oder and Elbe. In the present situation, however, these rivers are not expected to be closed to shipping as was the case during calendar week six (see Plasteurope.com of 08.02.2021).
