Colette Burke appointed new CCO / Vacancy in digital department also filled recently

Toy manufacturer Lego (Billund / Denmark; www.lego.com) has filled vacant board positions. The group appointed Colette Burke to the board, with effect from 1 January 2021. She will fill the position of chief commercial officer. Previously, Burke was VP of global sales at the German branch of US electronics manufacturer Bose (Framingham, Massachusetts; www.bose.com). Of her 25 years at Bose, she spent 19 in various leadership positions in the US.
In the beginning of November 2020, the Danish toy giant had filled the vacant position of chief technology officer with Atul Bhardwaj, who will also be responsible for IT and digitalisation. Bhardwaj moved to Denmark from electronics retailer MediaMarktSaturn (Ingolstadt / Germany; www.mediamarktsaturn.com); he had been CTO at the German retail group since 2018. At Lego, he plans to drive forward in-house digitalisation processes.
